7 Things to Consider this New Year

1. New Goal/Direction

- Forget the past, Learn from it and Pursue Christ likeness.

Phil. 3: 13-14

"The wise learns from his mistakes but the wisest learns from the wises mistakes"

- Store heavenly treasures. Matt. 6:19-21

            - God will provide!

- Include God in your plans. 

Jeremiah 29:11, James 4:13-15

2. New Adventure/Opportunity

- Trust in the Lord wholeheartedly. Proverbs 3:5-7

- Delight yourself in the Lord. Psalm 37:4

- Patiently wait for the Lord. Psalm 40:1 and Psalm 37:7

3. New challenges in life

- Dwell on the peace that comes from God. John 14:27

- Dwell on the strength that comes from God. 

- Dwell on the assurance that comes from God. Isaiah 41:10

4. New hope and renewed Faith

- Dwell on the power that comes from God

- Dwell on the hope that comes from God

- Dwell on the faith that comes from God

Psalm 43:5, Hebrews 11:1, Hebrews 11:6

5. New Commitment

- Honor God with your commitment.

Proverbs 16:3, Romans 12:2, Hebrews 12:1-2

6. New Life

- Honor God with your life. 2 Corinthians 5:17

7. New Heart

- Honor God with your character. Philippians 4:8

what are you doing that really matters?

This is one of my favorite devotion.

"What are you doing that will last forever? While much of your life may be dominated by text messaging, trips to the mall, and telephone conversations, what are you doing that really matters? The reason why this question is so important is that one day you will stand before our great and holy God and He will do a rigorous and thorough inspection of your life. Only what's done for His name's sake will ultimately last and matter. This makes the earlier question so important, so here again---What are you doing that really matters?

Ask your self about it.. Are those things really matters? Can we have those things in heaven? Are we pleasing God in what we doing? Are we using our time wisely or just wasting it? :)

Entrusting to His care

" You need only to remain calm; The Lord will fight for you" Exodus 14:14

His Job is to fight. Our job is to trust. Just trust. Not direct. Or Question. Or grab the steering wheel out of His hands. Our job is to Pray & Wait . Nothing more is necessary. Nothing more is needed.
" HE IS MY DEFENDER; I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED" Psalm 62:6

If any of you is in a battle right now; this is the answer. No matter what battle is that, God is with us. God will defend us. God will give us the victory. God is our victory!

We don't need to fight. We don't need to do anything. All we have to do is to trust God, Put our faith before Him and He will be the one to fight and work for us. Just be still and know that He is God. God's power is very great to for those who believe.  And keep in mind that "That Power is the same as the great strength God used to raise Christ from the dead". Eph. 1:19-20

The very arms that defeated death are the arms awaiting to catch and fight for you. :)
